Biography
Ian Mahood provides advice in relation to shareholder disputes, energy and construction litigation, debt enforcement, and arbitration, among other areas. In 2016, Ian clerked for Mr. Justice Paul Jeffery of the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, after which he worked at a national law firm.
During his studies, Ian won numerous academic awards, including: the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering Prize in Chemical Engineering (awarded to Top 3rd year student at the University of Alberta); the Justice Ronald N. Pugsley Trial Advocacy Award; the Best Closing Argument, McKelvey Cup Trial Moot; the Clyde W. Sperry Prize for Highest Mark in Property Law; and the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia Scholarship, among others.
